Rule 143
Arrangements for training
: (1) Armed police personnel will be included in training as needed to make them efficient, skilled and professional.
(2) Nomination of armed police personnel for training shall be done on the basis of seniority.
(3) In accordance with sub-rule (2), when nominating for internal training, it shall be done on the basis of the order of merit so that the armed police personnel who are appointed or promoted at the same time get equal opportunities.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rules (2) and (3), when nominating for any other command or similar training other than compulsory training, twice the number of armed police officers to be included in the training and pass the preliminary examination based on seniority. Nomination will be made on the basis of seniority among the officers.
(5) Arrangements related to the examination to be taken according to sub-rule (4) and the course, duration, training place, instructor and guest instructor of the training given to the armed police personnel shall be in accordance with the procedures approved by the Ministry.
(6) If the armed police personnel participating in the training show negligence, indifference to their professional knowledge and irresponsibility during the training period, their behavior will be recorded in the record.
(7) According to sub-rule (6), the armed police personnel mentioned in the records will be given an opportunity for training once again. If he shows carelessness, indifference or non-responsibility even when given this opportunity, departmental action will be taken against him.
(8) During the training period, the relevant training center shall prepare a record regarding the conduct and character of the trainee and send a copy to the office as per sub-rule (2) of rule 26.
(9) The trainees participating in the training will receive daily allowance and travel allowance according to the prevailing law.
(10) The trainees who get ration will be given ration according to the prevailing scale from the concerned training center.
(11) When armed police personnel go on training for up to three months, the office related to salary and allowances for that periodA one-time payment will be given from and in case of training for a period of more than three months, the salary allowance of three months will be given in a lump-sum payment and will be sent repeatedly for the rest of the period through the relevant training center. (12) The trainees of basic training and vocational training will be given a monthly training allowance of five hundred rupees during the training period.
